Stoplog are rarely used as a substitution for channel
type penstocks for economical reasons and are used for maintenance purposes.
The main difference from the channel type penstocks is that the operation procedure, which the stoplog has a specific apparatus to lift.
They also could be manufactured in one or multiple pieces.
